A few years ago I had a 125 gallon reef tank and am getting back into the hobby, all I have so far is my 150 gallon reef ready tank. It looks like a lot of things changed and I want to be sure everything is top of the line without the stores ripping me off. I am going to have all corals and clams so I know I will need MH's. Please advise as to what is the best filtration and lighting.
Any help is very much appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance

For a tank that big you're going to need a good protein skimmer that will handle a 150G tank. Look on the internet for your equipment needs because it's a lot cheaper. There are various sites that sell topnotch protein skimmers such as berlins and cpr pakpacs. Are you going to have any fish? Put a lot of liverock which will be your filter. Maybe 150lbs. Some people have wet/dry filters underneath their tank with a sump. I'm not too familiar with these setups but it hides everything from site.

Yes I am going to have some fish, I am not decided yet on what kind. I want to get everything regulated and the rock situated then tackle the fish.
