Setting up a new tank...Question about temp of tank and putting in live rocks

LOL, thats too funny. My dog starts out on the floor but somewhere in the middle of the night he ends up with us right in the middle. And he can't lay like us, he has to be laying horizontally. I want a female brindle SO bad! They are so gorgeous.
I hope someone answers for you soon. Lol. I am only on day 11 of my cycle right now and it took my tank probably 6-8 hours to reach the right temp. My rock looks ok, I would wait till the experts get on here and answer your question
