Setting up a skimmer

I recently purchased a Coralife 65g super skimmer. I've had it running for 2 days, and have a few questions. I read in the directions to have the micro bubbles at the base of the collection cup. It's producing white suds...I use the word suds loosely, because I know it is not soap. The suds aren't spilling over into the collection cup. Should they be? It's also not producing any waste into the cup. I read that it takes 72 hours to adjust sometimes, and am just wondering if I set it up correctly. Should I adjust the dial so that the suds are higher in the cone, and able to spill out into the collection cup?

Also I just got a ASM G2. I found out I had it in too deep of water... Was in around 12 inches of water in my sump. I found a crate from walmart that holds CDs for 1$ lol. Raised it up 6-7 inches and now it works a TON better! Maybe yours is in too deep of water? Worth a try hope this helps.

Very good info
I wish I would of found that info before months of beating my head trying to figure it out on my own. If you have any questions after reading that thread let my know. I will help out the best I can. I have been running this skimmer for over a year now. It is by no means a great skimmer but it is good for the price.
