ok my tank is a 55gal tank im putting in aprox. 35-40 pounds dry reef rock, 60lbs dry aragonite sand , 40lbs live sand and about 10lbs live rock and i was wondering if i should set up with all the dry stuff let the tanks cycle past the amonia and nitrite before adding the livesand and rock to avoid killing any critteres that might be in it or will the cycle have no effet on the the things like worms wich im concerned most about to live in the live sand thanks for any help

If your worried about keeping the criters on on/in the LR/LS. You should add it after the cycle. If the NH4 and NO2 go to high or to long it will kill off your pods and worms.

i added the sand after the cycle with the lr then added a det kit when amm and nitrites were 0 that would be the best way as not to kill anything ;)
