Im in the 7th week of my tank and have a few questions?
How do you know if a feather duster is dead?Lost its feathers.
My Naso Tang keeps bitting the other duster. Is this common?
Do crabs molt?

Featherdusters will lose their crown if they get stressed. Don't write him off yet, it'll probably re-grow. Happened to mine too.

Like KaraJay and Cyndi said the crown on your feather duster will grow back over time so don't worry about that. It is not uncommon for a fish to pick at a feather duster a little but if it get's to be more than just curiosity you may have to remove it before it is killed. And yes crabs do molt as they grow they out grow their exo-skeletons and they are forced to shed them once a new one is in place beneath the old one. HTH
