SFE Tunnel question

Im currently setting up a 265 tank that my SFE will be going into. I want to build it some tunnels with pvc pipe and im wondering what size i should use. you can see my tank diary for it here

probably anything larger than 2" pipe. I think that you would probably want 3" pvc. The eel will be probably small to start out, but if you are going with a Deep Sand Bed, 3" pipe and elbows should be easily buried. that and if you were to go with 3" pvc, you can put it in your rock to form cave networks for your fish to hide in and stabilize your aquascaping.
Thats my guess on what you would want to get.

thanks thats alot bigger then i thought he would need. i was thinking of using 3/4" or 1" . thanks alot

you might be able to get away with 2" but i met a guy at the LFS who cliamed that his SFE was as big around as a golf ball, and 29" long. thats why I suggested the larger pipe.

ok then 3" is what i will use. currently my eel is about 13" and maybe 1/2" thick.
