Shadows from light?

Anyone use a single mh on a 65 with the center brace? Im looking for a pic to see how bad the shdow would be.

this pic is from a loooonnnnng time ago, but i have no shadow. just make sure u keep the acrylic clean of salt creep.

To answer your question, the shadow is very noticeable and will likely bother you. I have a 65 g rr with the black plastic center brace and hated the shadow. I ended up going with 2 x 175w halides to avoid the problem.
VAlgae, is showing you a replaced center brace. Some people cut the brace and replace it with clear acrylic. It works and I considered doing it but was too chicken.

oh man im sorry. i read the question wrong. i cant find any pics of the brace before i did the mod. but yea this is what it looks like after. imo worth it
