Hey guys, been out of the hobby for a couple of years, that's why you haven't seen me on the boards for a while. But IM BACK! Many of you may remember my olds tanks, the 65, 20, and 9g systems. Recently set up this 40g, which i bought off CL, already established with a decent variety of corals. Tore the tank down, moved it about 30 miles, and set it back up that same day. No losses yet, didn't even seem like the corals stressed on it at all. Really surprised me. A couple weeks ago, I started adding fish. I had a hard time deciding between this and a 90g that I was eyeing, ended up going for this setup, but I am in the process of doing a 90 build, in which this tanks inhabitants will eventually go on to live in. Also started a youtube channel, as I am a videography enthusiast, and want to start pumping out some really HQ reef tank videos, I noticed there is currently a lack of them on youtube. Open to all suggestions/feedback, thanks guys. Feels good to be back!

This is pretty weak...Kinda anti-climactic for my first time on the site in over 3 years...lol

I thought I had cleaned up a copy of the links, but they don't work either.
You can copy/paste the links in another tab, delete the tags and get to the pics.
Nice tank!!! (You might want to hide from the tang police)
For those who don't want to do all that copy/pastey thingy, here is the Shane's FTS:

Welcome back!!
Looks like you bought yourself a real nice tank there. How much did the set up change when you broke it down?? Did you add anything coral wise?
Watched the video, but the photo's were a PITA. Nice work with the filming!!! You got a very good eye.
Got some real interesting comments on the video. I was wondering how you got almost 3000 views in a week.

Ok thanks, so there is no way I can directly inlay the pictures into my thread? I know you used to be able to..but that was several years ago. Thanks again.

Thanks man. I got a really sweet deal on the tank, got it with most of the livestock for 300 bucks. (including tank, lights, cpr hang on fuge, supplements, etc) Guy was in a pinch and needed it gone quick, i love Craigslist ;]
I haven't changed anything equipment wise, but man does the inside like different. He mad most of the rocks pushed up to the front, everything was healthy, just didn't seem like the corals were arranged in the right spots (flow/light requirement wise) I used to run the SW dpt. at my LFS when I was a teenager, so I've spent a lot of time aquascaping tanks. I tried to build the rockwork up taller and provide more caves and places to place coral.
Glad you liked the vid man! I've been working on my production skills the past year or so, these are my first reef tank vids tho =]
Haha yeah it's unusual to see new channels with high view counts, needless to say I have a second channel as well. That one is of a much different nature, but I directed some of my viewers from that channel over here. Everybody loves the beauty of the ocean =]

Aaaah woke up this morning to find my temp @ 83.8!! I don't know wtf happened, usually the only time i've had to keep the eye on the temp is on real hot days when the lights have been on for most of the day. Man.
I think i'm gonna start taking out a little water and putting it in the fridge for a few minutes... Is this safe? Or will the temp drop kill all the organisms in the water, causing amm/nitrate to raise? Any insight greatly appreciated!
