Does anybody know any reliable places in California that make custom aquariums because i cant find any at local pet stores that have the dimensions that i think are required for having a shark(72x36x22 or bigger).

Yeah, you could build your own aquarium. In fact some of the larger, and more knowledgable LFS may be able to give you a few points.
But another Idea is to build a shark pond - basic construction is almost exactly the same as a Koi pond.
Usually the place to find the building materials for these "koi" ponds are any major Home & Garden/Pool Store, as well as major hardware stores.
Or maybe find a place that sales supplies for Horses or Cattle - specially large watering pools - (i.e. Polyethlene pool - Rubbermaid). Your looking for something in the range of 300-1000 gallons. You can also sometimes find them online for a few hundred bucks. These actually make pretty good ponds for small benthic sharks or rays.

If you're in CA and willing to drive for it. I know a store down here in Orange County that could do a 300 gal acrylic for $600.

whats the store called and where at in orange county do they have a website? I will drive for it if thats the price and its reliable have to see other tanks they have done.

atlantic tropical fish. cheep tanks but you get what you pay for. I had my last one built in Vegas, but they are $$$$. no tax if your in CA

ATM is in Las Vegas. My 300 from there is coming on a truck this thursday.
There are also doing my 1000. I can get you some great pricing on a tank from them if you want.
