Ok, I've heard alot about shark eggs, I've even seen them for sale at SWF, I'm alittle curious, I know a 200 is too small for sharks, but what about putting a shark egg in and being able to watch it grow, then when its too bigs sell it to a lfs? I think sharks are awesome and I'm curious if this will work? I'm asking all of you knowledgeable hobbiest for your opinion. (Please don't be to harsh, we're new to the aggresive part of the hobby, and we want a happy, healthy, and beautiful tank) Any info would be great! This is only a thought, not something I've set my mind to, I want everyones opinion before any final decision is made, and of course I'll be doing lots of reading after I get everyones opinion. Thanks in advance..Later Lisa

Don't take this as being hrash but only explaining what happens when people buy sharks and think they're just going to get rid of them. It is common what you have thought about doing. Many people think that if their tank is too small for a shark they can house it for awhile and then just get rid of it when it gets bigger. Thats not how it works. Lets say you bought the shark egg and put it in your nice, big tank. It soon hatches and you feed it and care for it for a year or more. Then all of the sudden you know it is too big to keep. Its already 2 feet long and eating smaller fish. Now really, do you think you're just going to bag uup a big fish and drop it into a tank at your LFS? That aint gonna happen. Your LFS will most likely not take such a large fish. If you want a shark, make sure you have the room for it. Don't buy it and then get rid of it when it gets too big. Its just not a good thing. Anyways, you have a trigger and the trigger would kill the shark. That is a gauruntee. Triggers and sharks dont mix and the trigger will eat the shark's cartilage. Again this is not directed at you but just explaining what happens in the case of people getting rid of sharks.
