Shark Feeding

I hatched out a Brown Banded Bamboo Shark on friday last week. About 10 hours later it was attacked by my snowflake eel [nothing too serious, i couldn't find a slice on it] and i had to move it to 225 gallon reef tank with no acclimation time. That doesn't seem to of hurt it too much because the breathing is stable. I was wondering how many days i should wait until i should worry about it. Right now im trying to feed it by slicing a piece of shark formula to bite size and placing it directly next to it. Are there any ways to up the chances of feeding?
