Shark Hatch

I bought the egg 2 weeks ago and I can see the yok inside getting smaller by the day and the baby shark bigger.
I guess it should be any day now.
They told me at the store that I might have to help him come out.
Is this standard for them?
I hope it all goes well, I love sharks and this is my first one.
I had to give up my 10in lion for that.

You shouldn't "Have To" help him out...Sharks are born out in the wild all the time...:D
That said, I've had two Shark eggs now...one just "showed up" in the morning and the second I did help along a little...
Best to leave it alone and let "nature" take it's course.
Leave the egg in good waterflow (but not buffeted by the power head) and possibly up against a rock for stability.
As long as you can see movement in the egg he'll be alright, just give him some time to develop...It can be harder to keep alive/start feeding if born premature...
Oh, and WELCOME
to the board...Keep asking questions...You will find LOTS of help here...
And SORRY if you got the wrong first impression... ;)

I agree with squidd, let nature take its course. Unfortunately the word that I have the most trouble with "patience" comes into play here. Very good luck to you and keep us posted. Oh yeah, pictures are always fun:)
