Shark in a Pico!

Oh no! There's a clown in there, too! Don't think they're going to be compatible.
Anyway, now that I've got your attention, I'm curious to get some opinions. I just got this Picotope and I'm wondering if anyone thinks there would be an advantage to starting this tank up with 3 gallons of water from my established 29 gallon tank. Maybe half and half? This should be fun!

Well, I'm going to take some small live rock from my 29, so I shouldn't have to worry about a cycle anyway.

Well, I could post a link to where I bought it, but you know how that is...

So far, I would recommend getting one. The filter is fairly quiet, the light seems bright enough, and it actually seems larger than you'd think three gallons would be. Plus, it's just different from a lot of the other little tanks out there. Got water in mine right now and waiting for it to clear up.

Theres little if any helpful bacteria in water, so no, using old water will have no effect on the cycle. Using cured live rock will however prevent a cycle.

I concur.
Using rock from the 29 will definitely help you prevent a cycle though.
Nice tank. Post pics when you have it running!
