I justgot my new 6" banded cat shark that in going to start the fish out in a 90 gallon tank and then when its big enough move the shark to a 180gallon tank. I would like to see some shark tank set-ups and some pictures of some sharks.
I must say that I did have a little trouble getting the shark to eat so I soaked some krill in some garlic and it worked out great. Shark is eating.

Congrats.
But you are hopeful aware the this shark will out grow a 180 gallon, Right?
Banded Cat shark aka Brown Banded Bamboo(Chiloscyllium punctatum) grows up to 40" in length.
So you'll need at least a 420 gallon tank (8'long x 3.5'wide x 2'deep) to keep it for it's entire life(about 20-25 years). Although a pond of at least 500 gallons is highly recommended.

I had a banded cat shark for 3 years.
It started in a 29 gal. then a 55.
had him in a 220 gallon ,then he became quite a handful
and expensive to feed. 36" long
tankmates are very limited.Trial and error, gets expensive.
I had to give it away to someone with a larger tank.
It just cost way too much to maintain this guy.
He`s now in a 240 shark only tank.
any kind of shark would best be suited in 400 gallons or more.
he seemed a little cramped for swimming room in a 220.
All I`m saying is make sure your up for the task because it could get
very expensive.
I`ll attach a pic or two

Yeah - as I stated above - a 300 gallon tank will not cut it for it's entire lifespan.
They grow to be about 36-40", and really need a tank of about 500 gallons or a small pond of equal size(or larger).

Some of the only sharks that can fit comfortably in a 240g fullgrown are coral and marbled catsharks.
