Can you release sharks into the wild once they get to big for your tank? I'm wondering because I want a leopard shark and I am in California and live very close to the pacific ocean (which is were they are from). Please help!!!!

You really do not need to be putting a shark in a tank as small as a 150. But since you seemed to be convinced that it will be fine, answer me this: How exactly do you plan on getting this shark out of your tank and to the ocean? Can't exactly throw one in a plastic bag.

I have no idea how i would get it out of the tank and I never said I would put it in a 150, I just want to know if it would survive in wild after living in a tank.

JIM27: No.
A leopard shark living in a home aquarium for a year and then being released into the wild... hmm... that's like the Europeans coming to American and taking out all the Indians. Your leopard shark will probably get eaten by a damsel. :p
heheh...
Don't even think about that as an option.
