Why don't you just realize that trying to keep a black tip is not a good idea. We all like to dream . But seriously do you have any idea how much money it will take to keep this fish let alone the time . the amount of labor on a weekely basis to up keep a tank of this size ? And what experiance have you had as far as SW tanks that makes you think you can handle this project ?

No one has been insulting you. I can understand wanting all of these things, but you need to understand...it's going to takes YEARS of research and thousands upon thousands of dollars (and I'm not talking $2000....I'm talking $50,000+) to set up a tank like the one you want.
I can also understand wanting to help other people and giving advice. But, you need to research and learn alot before you start giving definitive answers, because 90% of the time, you're incorrect in your advice.

the only way I would ever consider getting any type of reef shark is if i dug out my owb lagoon in the backyard. That shark needs over a 5000 gallon tank.

What AW2 is trying to say is that sharks aren't like other fish where you research up on for a few months you research up on them for years. Novice150 probably did setup his tank for that much but hes going to keep spending money on his tank. If i where you i would stick with a coral cat shark, smallest shark in the hobby available and you dont need a HUGE tank for one. I would get a nice 180gal for one and you wouldn't really need to worry about upgrading, since they get to be about 24'', hardly 24''.
I know how you feel about everyone picking on the "kid", i once felt that way too, and still do. I would suggest you research some more on sharks and then go ahead and get one. By that time you could have a shark when you are in highschool and be the coolest kid in school
