Was that a people eating shark? I think i was chasing a little fish on the guys pole. It really won't matter...I will not ever be going swimming in the ocean.

So, was the fishing pole that appears what brought it into shore?
The shark was never hooked, from what I've heard it was chaseing bait fish in the surf and came out of the water to check things out although the dude with the pole was taunting it with a lure.

I was just up in Cape Cod for a vacation. In Chatham on the ocean side of the cape there are a couple of beaches along the National Sea Shore. We were there swimming and from time to time saw seals pop their heads out of the water and look around. Probably no way to tell how many there were but there were at least three as they appeared at different ends of the beach at the same time. That night on the TV the news said at that beach there were great whites chasing the seals up on to the beach. And to think we were swimming there, and to look at how close the one in Jersey was is to say the least a little disconcerting.

I saw this on the news the other night. I think they reported it as being a Sand Shark. Not as aggressive as Bull or Tiger, but it can still bite!

It sure doesn't look like a sand shark to me though ... looks more like a blue shark to me.

While the video was cool, I want the address of the idiot filming it so I can punch him in the face. How hard is it to keep the camera ON what you are filming?

You might be right. Sands have a larger second dorsel fin in the back. He also did look pretty blue.

I imagine the guy was afraid the shark would come up on the shore further than it did. Looks like he was dodging around every direction it headed. I don't know why they didn't just grab it by the tail and drag it onto shore. Shark Steaks are good eatin' man!

Should of brought Snookie in to fight with it.

I wish someone would just use Snookie and that other idiot The Situation as bait for the Great Whites and put that miserable reality show out of its misery.
