How do you get to be a shark on the board.

You have to prove to the other sharks that you are knowledgable enough to be a shark. And you are willing to help people too. One way to do that, is by constantly helping people.

Originally, the BB owners would choose Sharks, at this point, the Sharks choose, and the choices are made upon the need for additional Sharks as well as member hobby knowledge, helpfulness, deadication to BB and maturity.
