I am new to this site and am lovin it. I've had a 72 bow for about a year and a half, and was considering changing to a reef, but am not sure yet. I added a sebae anenome and also have a saddle anenome, and want to know if the 260 watt coralife pc (2x65 10k)+(2x65 atinic) will be sufficient for these guys. Also, i understand choc. chip starfish are not coral safe, are they anenome safe? Thanks for any comments, Dave

No you don't have enough light for anemones...but you have enough to hold them until you either get them more light or find them a new home.
I would look into metal halid (MH) lighting. Two 175W bulbs would do you good. Dual 250W would be perfect for you! Do some research on that quickly and then put the plan in action. They have enough light to survive a few weeks with no adverse events. Just feed them small chunks of meaty treats every few days until then.
As for the starfish, I honestly don't know the answer on that one. Try posting it in the reef section if you don't get a response.

choc. Chip will eat almost anything that it can get on top of. I had one several years ago, long before I was knowledgable and found this sight, and the damn C.C. ate everything in its sight. Yes, I did spot feed it as well. I ended up naming it Mikey....as in Mikey will eat anything.
