Shedding lionfish

I just got finished feeding my fish. My friend and I was just watching them when all of a sudden the lionfish swam to the middle of the tank and started shaking. At 1st we thought it was some food stuck to him but when it came off it looked like his his skin. Do they shed their skin. He looks fine and acts fine. Is he molting?

my lion does that about every other month. I always get alittle worried, but its all good. I know it doesnt do anything, but sometimes I throw some stress coat in there just to be safe.
