shimmer from moonlights?

If I were to put a few 4 watt moonlights in my 2 ft deep tank would they be too bright or would they give me a halide type shimmer?

What size tank are you talking about? I have 8 led moonlights in my 125 and it's not too bright but you can definately tell that there are moonlights. I had 2 or 4(I can't remember) in my 37 column(24" tall I think) and it was WAY brighter then the ones on my 125.

Depends on the moonlights....My IceCap moonlights are only 1w each and on my 240 more than 3 is way to much....Your not trying to illuminate your tank with your moonlights.....
