shipping live rock to Hawaii?

i think there have been other posts with people talking about the problems of getting LR in hawaii. might wanna do a search and see if any of them had any success.

Hey Ewa,
I live at Hickam and have ran into the same problem. I called the Dept of Ag. they have to clear anything that comes into Hawaii.
I went to Campbell Industrial Park and got some rock from the shore (they have a lot of big stuff) and soaked it in bleach for a while and then soaked it in tap water several hours. It has been in my tank for about 2 months and I am planning on going diving to find several smaller pieces of live rock (less than 1 gallon) to try to seed my now base rock.
