I see some torch corals have short tentacles and others have very long ones. Do short ones eventually grow into longer ones??

IME as a new person to saltwater aquariums they get longer at night and shrink during the day. mine is only about 1/4 of an inch during they day but at night it's tentacles get out around 2 inches.

yes, they grow longer. You see small ones because... well.. they need more growing to do?
Ive never heard about a torch getting longer when the lights are off? I know some coral extend their feeder tenticles during the night to try and catch food (trumpet coral) but ive never heard off this regarding torchs.

my torch's tentacles flow out to about 2 to 3 inches...when the lights go out they retract to show about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. But yeah, they will grow longer over time...
