I just went and looked at some live rock a guy wis selling. The price is great but the rock is covered in apatasia and swarming with bristle worms. This kinda worries me. Could i succesfully disarm the rock before adding to my tank. I do not have any corals so should i go for it?

you could look at every rock and put some kalkwazzer paste on any aptaisa you see and get like 5 pepermint shrimp try to make sure these shrimp are raised eating aptaisa then make a bottle trap for worms and bait with shrimp if you want to get rid of worms and as any plan with a reef this may or may not work ??? IMO if the rock looks like a problem it probubly is lol
