I recently aquired some shrooms, a single zoo polyp, and some pulsing xenia, transfering my FOWLR to a reef tank YEAH!!!:cheer: Should i supplement the corals with any special food, or while they be fine feeding out of the water column?

I've been told that they will filter feed however they will do better and grow faster if you feed them. I usually feed mine some of the brine/cyclopeez as I'm feeding my fish.

i sometimes feed my fish frozen plankton and it usually adds a bunch of really tiny pieces so maybe they will get enough from that. You think so?

I feed my corals about twice a week with Kent Marine's Micro-Vert for filter feeders. And you might think this is weird, I've never heard of anything else doing it, but I also very finely grind up shrimp pellets and a bit of algae disks and flakes, and add them to the liquid supplement as well. They seem to like it though, so I guess it's good haha.
Also, if you don't have a calcium test kit, make sure you get one soon, and test your calcium levels before adding any calcium supplement to the tank.
Happy reefing!!! :joy:

These varieties do not require suplimental feeding...good light and good water quality is all you need...IMO dont pollute your water with additives for these particular species.
