Should I feed hammer coral?

Should I feed hammer coral?? I found some info that said it is better to feed them, but where?? how?? and when??? At night?? I heard that at night they extent their tentacle up to 5 inchez long, is that the time to feed them?? well reply will be greatly appreciated!! thanks alot!:D

I've never had a lot of success direct feeding my hammer corals...but everytime I direct feed I insure mine gets a shot of the days menu(always includes DT's phytoplankton)...primarily I think they get what they need from the water column and the light.

My hammer will actually catch brine that drift by. If a live brine touches its tentacles, it will stick and the hammer eventually eats it. But when i try to directly feed it frozen food, it will not take.

I feed my hammers brine shrimp almost every day when i feed my fish... the ceneter of each bransh there is a mouth-- if you squirt some brine shrimp in the center, they will grab the shrimp and eat them. they dont HAVE to eat, but they certainly will.
