I currently have a 100gal wet/dry wwith a 2100 Rio pump, for my 46gallon Bowfront tank.
Next week im upgrading to a 72 gallon tank.. So my question is: Do i need to upgrade the 2100 Rio pump on the wet/dry to a 2500 or 3100 rio when i upgrade to the 72gal?
Please advise!! <img src="graemlins//uhuh.gif" border="0" alt="[U-Huh]" />

Your pump selection will depend not only on the size tank - but more on your overflow capacity.
I see where your wet/dry is rated at 100 gallon,
You should be fine.
Knowing the rated capacity of the overflow is the key though - if you know that - all guess work eliminated.
You may want to look into a MagDrive return pump before you run out and buy a larger Rio - IMO
Good luck - sounds like a nice tank upgrade :)

No you do not need a new pump the 2100 pumps 700gph that means your tank is getting turned over almost 10 time an hour thats alot. Keep your pump.

Are you planning on seeding the sand bed with LS and/or getting LR? If so you are more than fine. Maybe a protien skimmer but that's all you need. :D
