Should I go ahead and Hypo?

Currently I'm setting up a new tank to replace all my smaller tanks. Before moving any of my existing livestock I was thinking of going ahead and doing hypo on them before moving them into their new home. Ounce they are in the new tank it would be almost impossible to get them out if there is any problems. I know that one of my tanks contains a fish that has had ich in the past, but it hasn't shown any signs in a couple of months. The other tank I have has never shown any signs of ich, but I figured why should I take any chances. My thinking is if I do hypo on all livestock before adding to the new tank then I should never have any problems with ich in this tank as long as I perform hypo properly. What are your opinions on this?

Better safe than sorry. Besides I am not going to be in a hurry as I have alot of work to do on my new tank. I figure if I do this than I also hypo all new arrivals than I should not have any problems with ich.

HI STACYT.....
THAT IS A GREAT IDEA AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT...HOWEVER,
JUST BECAUSE YOU DO A HYPOSALINITY NOW DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ICK AGAIN...ALL YOU NEED IS ONE FISH TO GET STRESSED OUT OR SOMETHING AND YOU CAN STILL GET ICK IN THE TANK AND HAVE TO DO A HYPOSALINITY ON THAT FISH AGAIN....
REGARDS...
