sure why not as long as they are big enuff the bigger your water volume the better

wannablkjc, keep in mind that any disease in one tank will spread thoughout the entire system. Usually when you hook several tanks into a system, you would use a UV unit to sterilize the water to eliminate, or at least reduce the possibility of disease spreading into the other tanks. Increasing the volume of water in the system by hooking two tanks together certainly has merit though.
