This is the rock I got today from a very nice lady who was giving it to me to help me out on my first tank. That and she said she had too much and wanted to give it away XD
The rock, as you can tell, is infested with hair algae, that I am in the process of killing.
It's infested with something else too....
I looked at it... and like, I see claws T_T They REALLY scared me for some reason.
PLEASE tell me they are ok.... cause I don't wanna go sticking my hand in there anymore if they are not T_T

Really... that's good XD
Cause they REALLY frightened me. There are SEVERAL of them in the rock... and like... if know if I feel a pinch moving the rock around later, I'll probably cry from fear XD

By the way, great photos! Close up and sharp! I experiment with all the different settings on my camera and take about 10 shots to get one good one.

So like, what are these suckers gonna do? Just sit there?

you know a sea hare would get rid of your long hair algea probably with a quickness. I have one and my tank is crystal clear and its all gone and just bought the Hare a week ago.

Yeah but there's three reasons that wouldn't work:
I'm still cycling my tank
My tank is only 37 gallons
And it's commonly known that sea hares can actually starve to death after all the hair algea is gone, because they have a very specialized diet.
I looked into it already XD

A Lawnmower Blenny took care of my hair algea in a 29 gallon. Now he eats everything: flakes, algea sheets, shrimp pellets, frozen and freeze dried blood worms, frozen mysis, and Ive seen him eat krill before too

Yup, just a rock boring clam.
I should clarify... I don't mean boring as *yawn* "Mom I'm bored", but boring as in the verb... a clam that bores into the rock.
When I read that again I was like "Erf, that doesn't sound right".

If you have trouble finding a home for your seahare you can post him on our local reef club for sale or trade. He will not last long in your nano. Since you cannot do PMs yet, email me for the info at socal57chevy @ yahoo.com and I'll get you in touch with them.
BTW, do you use Scripps Water?

Haha, thanks for the compliment ^^
I'd much rather wait it out than kill poor innocent fish. And I'd much rather kill bad algaes the hard way than finding a quick fix with a fish that might starve afterwards.
