Should you clean a Amiricale drip pad ?

I was wondering if the Amiricale pad on my salt water hook up should be cleaned ? If so, when and how ?

not sure what a drip pad is if u have a wet/dry and u are talking about the filter pad before the bio balls yes i clean mine out in plain water, if u are talking about the sponze between the dirty side and clean side then u can rinse this out in saltwater only
