I think a nice scopas can be a stunning fish, and the black tang is quite 'different' if you are familiar with tangs. Pretty, yes.
But I don't think Liontamer was that off base in asking what happens when your very $$ fish dies. We all have to think about these things and bringing it up doesn't, IMO, mean that it was not a very nice thing to do. Ugliness is a matter of personal preference...
Certainly people do what they want but a reality check may not hurt. What if? indeed. I also think we need to consider WHY certain fish are so expensive...are they rare in the wild? Do they have a poor survival record? Is it worth risking either way?
No harm in asking questions and just trying to keep in mind what is "lost" in what we write. Liontamer may not have meant anything other than "IMO." A contrary answer in this type of forum is not really butting in, JMO
