Took awhile to get mine in

Anyway, I did have one question. This brain seems to look as if it may be splitting. I have never seen one split so not exactly sure what it would look like. Any thoughts?

Anyone have any luck keeping their brain off of the sand bed, maybe in a hole in the rocks? I just bought one and I'm worried my pistol shrimp is going to bury it or even relocate it. If it's up in the rocks, the shrimp won't touch it so I'd prefer it to be there if possible.

I had mine up on a rock for the longest time. I didnt know that they were supposed to be in the sand bed... Mine did fine.. and still is doing fine so I think it would be ok not being in the sand..
