Will a shrimp be eaten by an anenome.
Im thinking of getting a couple of shrimp. i have a 28g with a 4-5 inch anenome and 2 clarkis.
no amonia or nittrites and very very very low nitrates < 5 ppm... salinity 1.024 and 130 watts 1 10k and 1 50/50.
im thinknig of a nice crimson shrimp... or maroon or something to that nature. But will the anenome eat them,?

Not that it matters but what type of anemone are we talking about?
I would say yes it is possible that anemones can eat the shrimp, more likely I've seen pepermint shrimp stealing food from anemones, not so much on the blood shrimp or other cleaner shrimp. I'd say more chance with carpet anemones and less with BTA's.

I know for sure it isnt a BT or a carpet. I think its either a Leathery or a Condy. I doubt its a LT also. It has a pinkish/rose color tentacle with very very very very very small purple dots at end. The tentacles are also pretty long when i get my camera working ill take a pic.

99% of the time the shrimp will know to keep away from a anemone. So it shouldnt be a problem. Like Thomas said peppermints will actually come up and grab food away from anemones :p My blood shrimp hang out very close to my anemone, also my sexy shrimp. Skunk never really pays much attention to it.

oooh... a sexy shrimp! I thought I read somewhere that they only eat starfish. Is that right? If so, how do you supply it with food? I'm getting a fire shrimp for my 12 gallon, but I don't think I'll have any anenomes. Good question, though. I had never thought of it!

The harlequin shrimp eat starfish only. What you can do is have a smaller tank with only star fish and then cut them and wait until the regen and feed em that way. or have enough in the tank so the shrimp wont eat them all but hop from star to star....
Sexy shrimp sway there abdomen back and forth .... kinda sexy like....
