Shrimp and the new Christmas Rock...help!!!

I just got a new Bisma (or Christmas rock) today. Needless to say, my scarlet cleaner shrimp is continually trying to jam his arms down the holes and get to the organism or worm or whatever it is...lol. Is this normal behavior or is he just abnormally curious. I don't want him to eat all my worms...what is going on?? Should I take him out?

Misty, shrimp are opportunistic feeders, you could try keeping it well fed, if that doesn't work you will have to make a choice between the shrimp or the rock!

I have a regular cleaner shrimp and a large Christmas tree rock, however, I have never seen the shrimp do anything like you describe. The above post is mostly likly right. The rock or the shrimp?

I agree, try feeding it directly and see if this will alter his current pattern. But you might need to make the choice. Hopefully he hasn't aquired the taste for the worms.
