Shrimp? How long...

I put a shrimp in my 2.5 gallon nano to cycle the tank. My ammonia has spiked can I take the shrimp out now and let the cycle finish out? The shrimp has been in there for about 4 days. Thanks alot...

I took mine out after about 3 days.
We had dinner, saw a movie.

I just took it out. It smelled like sh-t. ahah. The whole house smelled terrible. I'll post some pics when my actinic bulb comes in...
