lmao wow let me start off my saying YES! it scared me when i was cleaning my tank last night. i went to grab the filter in the back of my over flow box and one of the 20 "red tail" shrimp i purcheshed (thinking they would be food for my other fish) was apparently hosting my U pipe...he has grown to about 4 inches...
just curious if anyone else has been startled by any inverts climping out of the tank ect

I have a Sally light foot crab that is about 4-5" across, and while I was working in my tank one day I was reaching behind some rock where I couldn't see and the crab crawled onto my hand. I piddled a little in my pants and jerked my hand out of the aquarium so fast the crab almost followed me out. Fell off the ladder and cleared everything off the shelf next to my tank. I didn't think my wife was ever going to stop laughing.
That was the first and only time the crab ever actually crawled onto my hand, it picks at the hair on my hand once in a while but has never crawled back onto my hand since.

don't know how i forgot about this one but...
about a week ago my mom bought a crayfish (basically a freshwater lobster...kinda) for her science center for her daycare.
well yesterday if some how hopped out of a 2.5 gallon hexagonal tank and we have no idea where it went off to...i checked under some rocks and the inside of the pump. dumped all the water out everything.
but there are no smells soo i think it's still crawling around some where in the house haha.
