shrimps & cycling?

do i put in a un-cooked shrimp into my tank during cycle,like the ones you eat? ive heard that somewhare, and i wanted to know what it does or how it helps.

Yes you put in a raw uncooked cocktail shrimp. It will kick start the cycle and spike your ammonia as it decomposes. Good luck.

Put a raw uncooked shrimp in to start the cycle. If you're already cycleing you don't need it.
