Shrimps, do they really eat that?

Will somebody please, please, please tell me exactly what gets by as 'food' for shrimps. Please tell me the true meaning of 'bottom feeder'. Thanks in advance .

Shrimp are pretty much scavengers. They will eat whatever falls to the bottom of the tank. They are also cannibals. I have fed mine, brine, shimp pellets, minced peel and eat shrimp, Formula 2, and the list can go on. They wont starve to death. Trust me on that one.

I'm assuming your talking about cleaner shrimp. Mine love just about anything. Beef heart, krill, brine shrimp. They love a small piece of beef heart.

I think your looking as to what "bottom feeder" is...... thats right all....I say ALL WASTE is eaten(yum,yum)[poo sandwitch] so there you go......
