shroom ?

just got 76 lbs of LR yesterday. there was a shroom on ones of the rocks. my question is, will it survive the tank cycle ??? thanks

Yea it is, are you running powerheads??? If not, you need to. You just disturbed a lot of stuffs when adding in the LR. I will keep your filtration system running along with powerheads. Also check your parameters often to keep everything in check!! :happyfish

Are the rocks cured or not? If not, I wouldn't throw any shrimp in there. Have you tested your water yet? If so, post your results... :happyfish

yes, this morning ... temp 79.4
trites 0.1
trates 0.7
ammo 1.5
ph 8.3
and the rock was just put in yesterday afternoon, ohh not cured rock

Then you won't need the shrimp at all!!! Is that black sand? Nice looking tank you have going there!!! Good Luck!!! ps, I'll bump my pictures up in the thread, look for it... :happyfish

By the way, I would cover the back of the tank with either something black or blue background. :happyfish

I just suggested those colors. Doesn't need to be black or blue, it will help to show things better depending on what you have in the tank. :happyfish

Black and blue are the most used colors. It keeps your eyes on whats in the tank rather then looking thru it. And hides anything you have hanging off the back.
