Shrooms decreased in size

Over the past month, all my shrooms have significantly decreased in size...local experts tested the water and arrived on site to review the tank.
solutions included:
- new lights (blue & white)
- tank cleaning (per high nitrates)
- adding phyto feast, twice a week
They have stated the shrooms should begin growing soon.
Any other recommendations? thank you for your time in response.

i wouldn't add any phytoplankton. i doubt it will have any effect at all.
what is wrong with the lights you have?
a tank cleaning is always a good thing.
what are you parameters besides nitrates? how high are the nitrates?

"shrooms" is pretty vague. What kind are they? Discosoma? Rhodactis? Ricordea?
Shrooms in general can tolerate pretty poor water conditions. Like X asked, what were your other test results and just how high were your nitrates?
What other livestock do you have? Any issues with them?
How old is your tank and how long have you had the shrooms in question?
ps...the discosoma that came on my LR survived 2 years under 50/50 standard fluorescent during it's time as a FOWLR tank. They really don't require much to survive. Usually an upgrade in lighting will cause them to close until they adjust...or move lower.

After replacing my old pc lights, my shrooms doubled in size. Under the old bulbs they did ok and grew in numbers pretty quick, but new lights really made the difference in size. My tank is unfortunately pretty high in nitrates and shrooms don't seem to mind at all. Their size never really changed after big water changes to bring nitrates down.
