Shy Maroon Clown Fish

3 weeks ago I introduced a maroon clown into my 75gal tank. His friends are a small volitan lion and a Naso Tang. He is always hiding behind the rocks, only coming out briefly to feed. Is this normal, or will he eventually swim around the tank?

My maroon clown was the first fish in the tank. It took him over a month to become comfortable swimming around the tank. Even now he pretty much stays in the same area(upper right corner by power head). Now he is pretty friendly! It just takes a while I think...:happyfish

A Maroon Clown and a Volitan? That combo has me a little worried about the Maroon Clown. Fairly quickly the Volitan will out grow the Maroon and could potentially make it a snack. That might be why your Maroon is hiding.
