sick anemone

I have had this bubble tip anemone for about two months. It seemed to be doing great until about a week ago. The tentacle shrunk up so bad they are like these skinny little things that look all shriveled. I tried to feed it some brine shrimp and it ate them but still just looks so gross. Despite all the efforts of my little clown to get it to wake up it seems to open less and less every day. I dont know what to do with it, i think it is just slowly dieing but I dont want to take it out until I am sure that it has no chance of survival. Basic question, if this BTA is dead, would it fall off the rock? Or should i assume it is dead now that it doesnt seem to be active at all??

I had a condylactus and a haitian pnk tip. They both did the same thing after about 3 months. They need good lighting, that is one of their main sources of energy. A clown fish wont help it open up. Make sure you have a good current in your tank (place it near a Powerhead) They like to be moving alot. I got rid of mine before they died, after numerous attempts to make them healthy. I dont think that keeping an anenome is a very good idea. There is a post on this board i think it is called (anenome good or bad idea) that shows a percentage of surviving anenomes in home aquariums. good info.
