sick anemones

i have a green bubble tip and a rock anemone in my tank. they have been perfectly fine up until a couple weeks ago. ive had them since april. they have become deflated. their color is still good and i have fed them a few times and they ate but something is definately wrong. my water is good. i cant think of anything that can be causing this. the only new thing i have put in were a couple small pieces of rock i brought home from the mexico vacation which i qt'd for 3 weeks before adding. everything else(corals fish inverts) is fine. even my yellow fiji leather which is very persnickety. i've read that they will look bad when they're getting ready to split , but both at the same time? im doubting that. anyone got any ideas?

List out specific testing results light/tank details water change procedure ect and maybe some more info on that Mexican rock it might be leeching something into the water, but the above requested items will be key to you getting an answer

its a 55. amm. trites and trates are all at 0. ph is 8. phos are 0. i have t5 nova extreme lighting. filtration is a protien skimmer, live rock and water changes which i do 15 gal. each weekend. rocks were picked up when the tide went out on a beach in Rocky Point Mexico. maybe i should try taking the rocks out and throw them back in the qt.

PH is a bit low for my liking. I usually try to keep PH around 8.3. How old are the test kits? How old are the bulbs? What's the temperature of the tank?
Generaly I would not reccomend picking up anything from the coast, especially something close enough to be exposed when the tide goes out. All of the pollution that runs down from the populated areas gets absorbed by the rock and will then leach back out in to your tank.

ok, here's whats going on with this. i took the mexico rock out and put it back in my qt. a couple of days went by and the nems were just looking worse and worse. what else is different in there, i wondered. and then i remembered i had run out of carbon and i bought some cheap stuff at wmart and used it . so i took the carbon out and 2 days later both nems are fine. of course im not sure if it was the rocks or the carbon. anyone know of cheap carbon affecting anemones?
