sick condi

My hatian condi has been shrinking and moving less and less over the past two weeks. I mistakenly thought that he was happy (lack of movement). I noticed my green bubble is not opening as he was fro about the same time.
I live in the south... a/c notwithstanding.. temp went from 78 to 80-82.
I have a 115g...0ammonia..0 Nitrite..10ppm nitrate(some fish).
Also had an arro crab die, and one of my scallops too. All in all, my inverts are acting poorly. I do add Iodine and calcium. I have had recent explosion of coraline algae, and my yelow polyp coral seems to be multipling.
I know anemonae are difficult to keep...but I've had this one for months. He has grown to the size of a sunflower, and now his health is questionable, if not dire. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Melafix should not hurt your Anenome at all, I have used it without any deaths of my Anenome,,I think that 82 is just a little high for temps, try putting a portable fan blowing across your lights and that might help with the temps..
Anenomes, do inflate, and deflate, and Condy's are notorious about moving till they find a spot that they like, not where you would like..He might be moving around the tank looking for a cooler spot..It might be possible that he is getting ready to split...Your parimeters seem to be ok as far as water temp, I know 0 nitrate is ideal, but 10ppm should not be the only reason for the death of a Anenome...What is your PH and Salinity??and Calcium??

When did you use the medication in the tank? Is there a correlation between the use of it and the changes you note in the anemone and the other inverts? I disagrees that intank meds are “safe” for reef tanks. Additionally, your nitrates should be zero if you plan on keeping anemones and most other inverts except for hardy crabs. Have you taken a reading on your iodine levels? You could be adding too much. What is your calcium level?
Do you have any clownfish with the condy? Condys are not “host” anemones and may be bothered by harassing clowns who want to impose themselves on an anemone that is not used to housing them. Do you know if the anemone is wild or tank raised?

I have a clown that is very aggressive/protective of the bubble. He couldn'nt care less for the condi. He will harass me if I bother the condi...but he sleeps on the bubble. I give a TBSP of iodine and a teaspoon of calcium weekly.

Have you offered food to the anemone? Anemones should be fed. Also, just because you are measuring out your additives, doesn't mean that your tank is not over supplied [or under supplied] with iodine or calcium.
Why do you have nitrates?

last night I took the condi and put him in a glass of newly made saltwater and floated it in the tank. He was preked up this morning. I brought a sample of H2O to my LFS to get a 2nd opinion. As it turns out, nitrates were hightly elevated. It would appear that my test kit is giving false readings. 30 gallons of water change seems to have be the answer.
Thanks for everyones input.

What are shrimp pellets? You should feed the fish fresh seafood, not flakes, pellets or whatever you get from the LFS.

Shrimp pellets(...blush...) are really for F/W fishes. But my crabs and shrimp love them.
Since the H2O change both anemonae are back in fighting shape.
Lighting is one "Aquasun" and one "Coralife 100% actinic" 36" combo (over the corals and such) and 36" Aquasun at the other end.
