SICK copperband butterfly

I HAVE A COPPER BAND BUTTERFLY THAT IS NOT EATEN IN THE LAST DAY AND KEEPS SWIMMING TO TOP OF TANK LIKE HE NEEDS AIR BUT WE HAVE HAD NO CHANGES IN THE TANK AND EVERYONE ELSE IS FINE. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?

signman, how long have you had this fish? Has the fish been eating fine? Do you notice anything visibly wrong with the fish?
What other fish do you have in your tank, and how are they doing?
Take a look at the first post in the FAQ Thread which is posted at the top of this forum which gives suggestions about info needed when posting in this forum. Any additional detailed info you can provide helps.

I just lost my cb that did the same exact thing before he died. My water conditions were perfect although my ph was a little off. You want to make sure your water conditions are superb and, DO NOT wait for your fish to get better on its own. Everyone told me to shut the lights and let nature take its course.... thats when i woke up to my hermit enjoying my beautifull fish for breakfast.

ya he was dead the next morning when i got up.
i have had him for about six months. he was great one day and little strange the next day then dead the third day.
