Sick/diseased clown

My clown has not eaten in a week and has been harrassed by my yellow tang. He has a spot on his lower body that looks like a lesion. Just wondering if anyone had any input on what it might be. Also he acted normal until I got the yellow tang, but now he just stays in the corner. Tankmates are three green chromis damsels, a mandarin goby, a yellow tang, a peppermint shrimp, an emerald crab, a porcelain crab, a red crab, and some blueleg hermits, I also have some turbo snails. The tank is a 55 gal reef with 30 pounds of live rock, 55 pounds of live sand, and one leather coral.

Well, sounds like you've identified the problem. And you probably know the answer. Find a new home for the tank, or remove the clown to QT to recouperate, then find another home for the clown.
Not much else you can do.

Hello, I received your email. Harrassment can cause a host of problems and fish ailments. Eliminating the harrassment on this fish is what you need to do before trying to figure out if the fish is sick or not, or if the harrassment is making him sick.
Can you move this fish to a QT?? There is really no choice here, given the problems you are having with this fish, as well as the harrassing tang in the display. Either move the clown, or find a new home for the tang.

The Yellow Tang only bothered the clown for about 2 days.
This was about 3 weeks ago.
I noticed that the clown fish is starting to gasp. Would a fresh water dip help?
What ever the clown fish has it is getting bigger. Can the other fish get this funk. I don't have a QT tank to put the clown in. What should I do?
Thanks,
Ttracy

No, a FW dip won't help. If the fish was fine before the harrassment, then it is unlikely now that the problem will be contagious. He was probably sworded by the tank, in which, and, particularly wo antibiotic treatment, the clown is likely doomed.

You were right. The clown didn't make it last night, he was having a hard time breathing and that sore was just bigger and bigger.
Thanks for all the advice and helping us out.
