Hi, Does anyone know how to tell the difference between ick and marine velvet? I introduced a new fish and now he has given my other fish some spots. The new fish is a flame angel and I noticed the spots on him two days after I got him. I did a fresh water dip for ten minutes and then held him in a net under water and wiped the tiny specks off his body with a cotton swab. He has been fine and clean looking for a few days, but today I noticed some spots on the tail of my six line wrasse. I hate to treat the whole tank, but on top of that problem, I don't know for sure what they have. Help if you have any advice. I found an ich medicine that says it will not harm the invertabrates or harm the biological filter, but I have not used it yet because I am not sure that it is not velvet or some other disease. Anyone know what to do? Thanks, Lesley
