When was the last time you fed him, what do you feed him and how much
how long have you had him
what are your water paramters?
did you add any new fish or anythng to the tank, is anyone else sick.
describe the look of the fish, his behavior and demeanor. Notice anything about him.

he's in a tank with a panther grouper that he's been in with all of his life. There are no other fish in the tank, I'm waiting to get my 450 to put both of them into it. The substrate is fine sand. He's kinda white, just really laying down, probably about a week without any food. He normally eats silversides and freeze dried shrimp from my hand every day

My guess is the lion has some sort of nutritional deficiency or that it has a clogged or weakened GI. Freeze dried krill is brutal on these fish. Silversides are good, but need to be supplemented w/ grocery store bought gulf shrimp (w/ shell on), chunks of scallops, crabmeat , octo or squid, stuff they eat in the wild. Also your feeding regamin is off, these fish should eat only a few times/week, it keeps ther growth rates down and prevents organ developments problems(Like fatty liver)
anyway what to do now i would do a bunch of water changes and get your chemistry perfect, are you considering adding antibiotics to this main tank or do you have a quarentine tank?

i am already adding antibiotics, my cousin is a vet and gave me some good stuff. Say he's GI is backed up, what do I do for that? I did a water change before the antibiotics, and I just added an ehiem pro 2 to the tank to help it out. After the 5 days of treatment I'll do a water change. He is in a 90 with a panther, I'm waiting on my 450 to get built and brought to my house. But my mom said I have to sell my 240 first then I can get the tank. So anyone want to buy a 240 and stand e-mail me and silkks11@aol.com. Other than that the tank parimeters are normal. everything is roughly at 0 or close to it.
