sick moray

I have a small snowflake moray that one day ago emerged from it's usual hiding place and is laying on it's side seeming to be breathin heavily. Anyone know what condition may cause this behavior?

i guess its dead reef ranger. so sad. and we probably could have helped too. now its time to put it on the grill!
